The BS in Applied Studies is designed for professional students who have already earned and Associate degree or have completed 60 transferable credit hours from another educational institution. The Bachelor’s degree program is a degree completion program available in an online format to best fit schedules and prior obligations of students wishing to earn or finish a Bachelors degree. The broad interdisciplinary coursework is drawn from business and liberal arts topics, to provide students the foundation to pursue a variety of career paths upon successful completion of the required courses.

Students will choose a minor area of study in Communications or Pubic Administration in addition to the required courses for graduation. The degree program will culminate with a capstone course, designed to give students an opportunity to demonstrate a full and comprehensive understanding of the programs primary academic objectives.

Successful students may be able to use the education to confidently pursue careers or position requiring an advanced knowledge of business and liberal arts to critically analyze and assess common professional situations. With the online program, busy students have the option of earning a valuable education, while still fulfilling current obligations with concurrent educational pursuits, careers or community programs. The BSAS program intends to give graduate students the comprehensive and practical skills, methods and theories needed to be effective managers and leaders in many environments.
