Program Overview

California National University offers an opportunity to allow students to earn both a Green and Black Belt Certificate in 15 weeks, rather than completing both programs inpidually.

Prior to beginning the hybrid course, students must have one year of work experience in Quality Improvements or with Six Sigma projects. An additional requirement is for each applicant to have a background in Algebra I or an equivalent to the course. This prerequisite is necessary for the program because it uses statistical and analytic tools to resolve problems in engineering, technical and business work force. The course will review all aspects of the Six Sigma methods including Critical to Quality and DMAIC Methodology.

In order to not make the mistake of applying for a single Belt program, each applicant must go to the CNU website and manually select the “Six Sigma Combined Certificate” and download, print, and complete the application. Once completed, inpiduals can fax the application to 818-830-2418. This will ensure the application will be received at CNUs admission offices. Each application has a fee of $75 with the course of tuition totaling $2900.

Though this hybrid course is fast paced and contains a large amount of material, students will become proficient in the understanding of Six Sigma concepts and methods in business implications. Graduates will earn three units of college credit that can be used when applying to the higher level belt programs.

CNU offers an innovative approach to distance education in its combination of self-study with direct personal contact and technology as well as its one-on-one instruction from faculty. This college offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, a certificate program and individual courses through extension. The institution awards bachelors, masters, specialists and associate degrees.

Students need to own a computer and have access to the Internet to be able to have access to distance learning programs and software. One-on-one communication with professors is guaranteed, giving students maximum feedback and exdivert support. This is done through a sequential course syllabus with assignments and guided learning experience.
