California National University offers an online Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) degree program to inpiduals interested in excelling their professional career. The online program provides one-on-one instruction to students at their convenience. Students will learn the challenges of the changing international, economic, legal, political, and technological environment. The program prepares students for mid-level and senior-level HRM Generalist and Specialist positions in such settings as manufacturing, service, finance, and retailing. Students will form an in-depth understanding of labor relations, moral and legal rights of employees, and the importance of effective communication. Additionally, candidates will form the ability to analyze, design, and implement management procedures connected with planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling in organizations.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible for the graduate program. Once admitted, the MBA program requires the completion of 36 units of coursework consisting of 15 units of Professional Core courses, 15 units of Professional Focus courses, and six units for a Professional Project or Thesis. Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA throughout the program. Each student completes the provided core courses and chooses from one of the Professional Focuses: Employee Relations, Human Resource Administration, or Strategic Human Resource Planning. Laboratory coursework is completed through the design and execution of a relevant HR project implemented in the workplace. As the final phase of the degree program, students are to submit a Professional Project or Thesis that involves gathering and reporting research data that has to be approved by the thesis advisor and committee.
