Program Overview

The curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration online program at CNU is closely modeled after the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation standards (AACSB). The degree program provides students with the skills they need in order to thrive in and grow in their professional careers. Students will graduate with the ability to effectively communicate with their employers and employees, apply financial and managerial accounting concepts, and have an understanding of the business environment. 

Applicants must submit a High School Diploma or GED equivalent for admission to the Bachelor of Science degree program. Once admitted, students are to complete 120 units of course work with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in General Education, Low-pision Core, Upper-pision Core, Electives, and a final Capstone project. General Education courses are required in order to expand the knowledge base of the students. Inpiduals have the ability to choose courses within the subject areas of communications, computation, social science, computer technology and practice, humanities, and physical science. Students may choose to take the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams to meet the 30 units of general education requirements or in combination with the courses. Students are given the opportunity to choose elective courses in a specific area of concentration or a variety of combinations.

    Requirements

    High school diploma or GED equivalent is required for admission to the Bachelor of Science degree program. A degree is awarded upon satisfactory completion of 120 units of academic work with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in the following areas:
    • General Education - 30 units
    • Lower-Division Core - 15 units
    • Upper-Division Core - 36 units
    • Electives (Must include 1 Practicum) - 36 units
    • Capstone - 3 units

CNU offers an innovative approach to distance education in its combination of self-study with direct personal contact and technology as well as its one-on-one instruction from faculty. This college offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, a certificate program and individual courses through extension. The institution awards bachelors, masters, specialists and associate degrees.

    Students need to own a computer and have access to the Internet to be able to have access to distance learning programs and software. One-on-one communication with professors is guaranteed, giving students maximum feedback and exdivert support. This is done through a sequential course syllabus with assignments and guided learning experience. Everything is done online, including turning in assignments, taking exams, and receiving that vital feedback from faculty and classmates. Distance learning provides a flexible, individualized program recognizing that students have other responsibilities.
