California National University offers an online Bachelor’s degree program for those seeking careers in Quality Assurance Science and Engineering Management. The program prepares students to effectively manage and maintain a Quality Assurance Program within a company. It is designed to prepare students for many of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification Examinations. Upon graduation, students will be educated on project management, business and engineering systems, and various quality assurance concepts. 

Bachelor degree students are required to complete 30 course units within the General Education to evaluate and strengthen communication and computer technology skills, life and physical sciences, philosophy, and knowledge of concepts. In general, the Lower pision course work provides students with a fundamental knowledge of the basic concepts and understandings. A College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is offered to allow students to meet the General Education requirement or in combination with courses. Students are required to complete 121 units of academic work with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in the required areas including a final Capstone project. The final phase in the Upper pision entails an approved project relevant to the degree and one trimester of work (15 weeks) with four hours of practicum each week.

    A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required for admission. Applicants to the Bachelor of Quality Assurance Science degree program are expected to have a high school background in algebra, plane geometry, trigonometry, physics and chemistry. If an applicant lacks this background, prerequisite courses will be assigned from the CNU curriculum.

    The Bachelor of Quality Assurance Science degree program requires satisfactory completion of 121 units of academic work with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in the following areas:
    • General Education - 30 units (Lower division)
    • Basic Sciences -  22 units (Lower division)
    • Foundations of Quality Management - 12 units (Lower division)
    • Quality Assurance Techniques - 30 units (Upper division)
    • Quality Assurance Electives - 24 units (Upper division)
    • Capstone Project - 3 units (Upper division)

    California National University was founded in 1993 after recognizing the need for mid-aged students to be able to continue learning while maintaining their careers and family lifestyle. CNU offers an innovative approach to distance education in its combination of self-study with direct personal contact and technology as well as its one-on-one instruction from faculty. This college offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, a certificate program and individual courses through extension. The institution awards bachelors, masters, specialists and associate degrees.

    Students need to own a computer and have access to the Internet to be able to have access to distance learning programs and software. One-on-one communication with professors is guaranteed, giving students maximum feedback and exdivert support. This is done through a sequential course syllabus with assignments and guided learning experience. Everything is done online, including turning in assignments, taking exams, and receiving that vital feedback from faculty and classmates. Distance learning provides a flexible, individualized program recognizing that students have other responsibilities.
