MBA / Banking and Finance
California InterContinental University offers an online Master of Business Administration program with an emphasis in commercial banking and international finance. This program is designed for students pursuing careers in the financial district, banking and money management, and financial consulting. Students will develop organizational and leadership skills, financial organization behavior, and commercial banking resource management.
Within the required MBA courses, students will learn how to evaluate and analyze financial statements, understand the elements of financial statements, and prepare, interpret and analyze income statements as well as financial elements. Students are also required to take courses such as MBA Program Planning, Marketing and Brand Management, Economics for Decision Making, Strategic Human Resource Management, Strategic Management and Competitive Globalization, and Problem Analysis and Research Methods. These courses all offer analytical skills and concepts in real managerial situations.
The program provides emphasis courses that highlight everything from the foundations and theories of finance and monetary management to global knowledge in the financial market. The program is rounded out with either a Master’s Capstone Project or a Master’s Thesis Plan approved by the Student Advisory Faculty.

- Official Transcript showing the completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation – CHEA.
- An applicant who has completed his Bachelor's degree in a non-business related area (i.e., Engineering or Science) is required to meet CalUniversity's business foundational prerequisites by taking a required course in Basic Accounting. Other elective courses are available for the student's consideration.
- The applicant's prior college academic records must show a minimal Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of C (2.0 on a scale of 4.0) or higher.
