Program Overview

The School of Administration and Management at California Coast University offers students the opportunity to earn an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in four areas of business.. Students can choose to major in: Business Administration, Business Marketing, Health Care Administration or Management. The essential business foundation, supplemented with the area of concentration, will provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the competitive job market.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management provides to students the essential human resources theologies to be successful in many organizations. Managers oversee a specific set of tasked employees to guide and implement successful policies and profitable strategies. Managers also have the responsibility of influencing the willing and able workforce to combine resources effectively and efficiently to achieve a common goal.

The formal education earned from a Bachelors Degree in Management enhances the necessary skills for organization in the dynamic and evolving workplace of modern corporations. The focused curriculum will help students to develop the roles required to align resources, and to improve communication and productivity. The program is comprised of 126 semester units and is divided across core business management courses, general education courses, and the student’s choice of electives. The electives are in place for students to earn credits for coursework outside their major, while learning concepts for personal growth.

Graduates may use the diverse business skills to acquire new management positions or to advance into areas of: project management, hospitality, human resources, healthcare, IT, non profit and for profit, and retail sales. Performing the responsibilities involved in a management position requires a professional student with an innate ability to combine a strategic balance of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling an organization.
