Associate of Science in Business Administration
At California Coast University, students may gain a critical foundation in their business education pursuit by attending the Associate of Science degree program available through distance learning and online courses. The School of Business and Management offers this program with concentrations in business administration, business marketing and health care administration. Students should choose an area of focus that will best fit current and future aspirations.
Students who choose to study the concentration in business administration, should strive to achieve personal and professional goals that need a formal academic designation. The business concentration is ideal for individuals seeking the foundational education in the essential concepts of management, marketing, communications, IT, and organizational behavior. The associate degree program compiles 60 semester units. These credits are comprised of 6 core business administration courses, 10 general education courses, and the student’s choice of 4 elective courses, which should reflect personal goals.
Graduates should be able to enter the competitive job market with the confidence to perform as necessary assets to many industries. Business is how the world creates a viable economy, which sustains local or foreign trade and commerce while providing a multitude of careers to successful graduates. Traditionally, graduates may pursue positions in: accounting, administration, strategy, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, information systems, marketing, organizational behavior, public relations, and statistics.
