Cabrillo College began in 1959 and held its first classes in the partially abandoned old Watsonville High School. Over the years, Cabrillo College has become known and admired as an open-door institution that seeks to fill the educational needs of every segment of the community. Cabrillo College continues to evolve to meet the needs of the community, now offering associate degrees and certificates in more than 70 fields of study.
Cabrillo offers programs for students preparing to transfer to a 4-year university, studying for a new career, enhancing current jobs skills, or wanting to take classes online. Associate's degrees and certificates are offered both fully online or in hybrid formats.
