Program Details

Bucks County Community College offers an online Associate of Arts in Social Science, a liberal arts degree.  This is for those who intend to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts field, including majors in Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, or Geography.  This Associates degree emphasizes the theoretical and scientific foundations of the social sciences, including research methodology and data analysis.  You will gain familiarity with the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in the social sciences.  Graduates are able to apply theory to current social and political events that impact communities at all levels and can prepare and present original research including research design, data analysis, and interpretation.
