Brandman University offers qualified students the opportunity to earn the necessary knowledge and skills for upward movement in many business organizations or personal endeavors. The Master of Business Administration degree program is available to students through an innovative on campus and online learning program.
The MBA degree program with a focus on the concepts of leadership build on already learned skills, while also introducing an organizational context and a human development context for the most strategic leadership practices. The evolution of the leadership education has yielded an innovative blend of business theory with the social factors of sociology, anthropology, psychology, history and philosophy. The MBA in Organizational Leadership provides the academic tools necessary for the appropriate application of leadership, democracy and ethics when effectively performing as agents of change in a variety of business settings.
The modern Organizational Leadership program gives students the supplemental academic education to provide a multi-faceted approach to management, organization and team building, while still providing the business foundation necessary for successful operation and functions. The MBA program is designed to prepare students to perform as managers and leaders in various types of organizations and business settings. The program delves into core business aspects critical to the success of both, current and future employers and the graduates personal development. The core courses expand on a student’s previous knowledge of business, introducing management level concepts of: Financial Reporting, Data and Economic Analysis, and Business Process and Innovation. The required credits for Organizational Leadership cover intrinsic topics such as: Foundations of Organizational Leadership, Democracy, Ethics and Leadership, Human Resources, and Self, Systems and Leadership.
Graduate students should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business leadership necessary when analyzing business functions and processes, formulating effective business strategies and identifying characteristics of other leadership potential. Graduates holding a MBA degree may be eligible for jobs that need the advanced education, knowledge and understanding of core business concepts and the practical application of business theory when competing for promotions or completing critical tasks.
Requires an earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Admission GPA Requirements: Option One - GPA required 3.00 or Higher: A 3.0 GPA calculated over the most recent 30 graded semester (45 quarter) credits completed in either a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program, including credits earned toward a credential. All credits used for GPA calculation must be from a regionally accredited institution. Option Two - GPA between 2.50 and 2.99, qualifying score on GRE, MAT or GMAT. GRE: achieve the required minimum scores on two out of three of the subsections of the GRE. (Minimum score for Quantitative: 141, minimum score for Verbal: 150, minimum score for Analytic Writing: 4.5) Miller Analogies Test (MAT): achieve a minimum scaled score of 400. Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT): fulfill the formula GMAT + (GPA X 200) > 1000. Option Three - An earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. Option Four - GPA below 2.50, Portfolio.
