Graduate students seeking to acquire the advanced leadership skills in many dynamic educational systems should participate in Brandman University’s online and on campus Master of Education degree program with the concentration on Educational Leadership. The innovative program builds on previous teaching accomplishments, while also introducing students to the essential concepts to develop high-performing and positive change for current and future school systems. The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) degree with an emphasis in Educational Leadership, gives students a comprehensive understanding of: leadership models, supervision of personnel, implementation of policy, and the legal and social issues that affect the academic system.
The 30 credit MAE degree program is comprised of 18 credits for core Masters courses covering topics of Research and Evaluation Methods, Democracy, Education and Social Change, Learning Theory, Comparative Education, Social Foundations and Curriculum Studies. The remaining 12 credits are allocated for the students choice of emphasis, to best suit personal and professional goals in areas of human resources, public administration, organizational leadership, or business administration.
Successful students may be able to apply the learned knowledge and professionalism from the MAE program when pursuing entry-mid level administrative or principalship positions in many different types of educational systems. Graduates should be able to create and perform learned leadership skills when promoting problem-solving and critical decision-making in enhanced teaching and student learning.
