Within the Bachelor of Arts in Applied Studies degree program, students have the option of focusing their education on the application of Supply Chain Systems. The specialized supply chain systems curriculum supplements the applied studies curriculum with courses that introduce students to concepts of labor relations, organizational behavior, information systems, leadership, project management, and strategies across the supply chain system.
Brandman University offers students the opportunity to earn the Bachelor of Arts degree upon completion of at least 12 college level credits to transfer into the advanced online learning program. This program may be completed through a variety of avenues, allowing students to attend one of the many California classrooms, as well as completely online. The flexible learning format enables students to gain the needed higher education to continue careers, to enter the competitive job market or as the foundation for additional educational pursuits at a masters level.
This degree is designed to provide individuals the necessary knowledge and skills to grow professional leadership abilities, while meeting the demanding job markets need for highly educated and technical professionals. Earning the applied studies concentration should build on a student’s technical and occupational experiences, in addition to providing the formal academic education to solidify a graduates comprehensive understanding of professionalism. Supply chain logistics coordinators operate and manage the many products, people, processes and services involved in the supply chains of organizations. The varied responsibilities of a supply chain professional dictate many monetary and business decisions to be made for the growth of a company or organization.
Potential graduates may use the baccalaureate education to strategically combine newly learned skills to success in future career goals and personal pursuits. The specialized curriculum requires students to complete 120 credits comprised of core courses in liberal arts, communication, ethics and sociology. These courses are in addition to the Supply Chain Systems courses delving into topics of Strategies Across the Supply Chain, Project Management and Supply Chain Leadership, and Organizational Information Systems.
The dynamic multidisciplinary program culminates with a final capstone project to demonstrate a student's expertise and proficiency of the bachelor programs objectives and may give graduates the opportunity to showcase professional and personal interests. Upon successful completion of the required course credits and the final capstone project, students should be able to apply the learned skills when seeking careers working with diverse cultures, communicating with peers and practicing ethical business behaviors in the chosen field of work.
