Master of Arts in Teaching Biology
Bowling Green State University offers the Master of Arts in Teaching Biology. The goal of this program is to provide conceptual and pedagogical knowledge in math and science for in-service middle school teachers who have a limited background in these areas. Students will learn how to enhance the concepts of science and mathematics as problem solving tools through an interdisciplinary approach with a particular focus on environmental sustainability and the nature of science. This program is for in-service teachers of grades 4-9.
Some features include innovative interdisciplinary approach to providing quality instruction for classroom teachers, improved accessibility for classroom teachers (e.g. some online courses and evening scheduling), and increased opportunities for collaboration and communication among teachers who teach at schools that are widely separated geographically.
