Program Details

Boise State University recognizes the busy schedules of professionals seeking to gain the advanced education needed to advance into leadership and managerial positions. Students who already hold a Bachelor’s level degree may partake in the accelerated online MBA program offered with a flexible learning environment. Students should use the advanced education to acquire a new found understanding of essential business concepts, which can be used across many fields and industries in leadership and management positions. The MBA program is designed to support a business student’s creative process, management skills, and team leading, as well as solidify the advanced uses of accounting finance, marketing, and the many legal factors contributing to the ethical operation of business. Each MBA course explores a specific dynamic of the effective and efficient operation of a successful organization. The courses cover topics of interest such as: Design Thinking and Strategic Management, Global Economics: Policy and Trade, and Managerial Communication.

Students can choose to excel in an area of focus related to personal and career aspirations, while also gaining the sought after professionalism required of many new entrants to the competitive business job market. Graduates of the MBA degree program may also be eligible for jobs that need the advanced education, knowledge and understanding of core business concepts. Students of the MBA program should use the taught theories and emphasized application of business and management principles when competing for promotions or completing critical tasks.


  • Bachelor degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • At least two years of significant work experience
  • 3.0 or greater GPA
  • Minimum score expectations: GMAT: 500 (32 min on quant; 4.5 min on writing); GRE: 145/145
  • Two essays
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • GMAT Waiver provision: Any graduate degree OR five years professional work experience AND a 3.0 GPA in their last 60 hours of college credit
