Program Details

The online Education Specialist in Educational Technology program of study is ideal for professionals in education and/or training who already have a master’s degree, but who wish to improve technology leadership or faculty development roles or who want to use technology more effectively for improved student engagement and learning. Those who seek the EdS are K-20 educators, technology coaches or integration teachers, media specialists, school administrators, instructional designers, curriculum or training developers, and many other closely related fields.  Courses include Emerging Trends in Educational Technology, Leadership in Educational Technology, Research in Educational Technology, and Introduction to Statistics for Educational Technology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Overall graduate GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Letter of application that shows a strong command of written expression in English
  • Transcripts from all previously attended institutions
