Boise State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care for students who are concerned with the treatment, management, control, and care of the patient’s breathing. The respiratory therapist is a specialist in the use of therapeutic and evaluation techniques in respiratory care.
This is a bachelor completion program. A total of 120 credits are required, including transfer credits.
- Earned an AS, AAS, or AS in Respiratory Care from a regionally accredited university or college or the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from an internationally accredited university or college.
- Passed the necessary examinations to be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Have permission of the department chair.
