Program Details

Boise State University offers a RRT to BS Degree Completion Program in Respiratory Care for students who are Registered Respiratory Therapists. This area of allied health is concerned with the treatment, management, control, and care of the patient’s breathing. The respiratory therapist is a specialist in the use of therapeutic and evaluation techniques in respiratory care.

Requirements

This is a bachelor completion program. A total of 120 credits are required, including transfer credits.

  • Earned an AS, AAS, or AS in Respiratory Care from a regionally accredited university or college or the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from an internationally accredited university or college.
  • Passed the necessary examinations to be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Have permission of the department chair.
