Program Details

The online Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Science program offers a transdisciplinary learning and research experience that provides students with concepts, principles, and methods for understanding, modeling, analyzing, optimizing, and improving various forms of complex systems.  The curriculum features both systems thinking and problem-solving skills.  Graduates are prepared for careers in scientific, engineering, business, or management professions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Satisfaction of learning contract including proficiency in teaching and residency requirements 
  • Other materials as required by the department
  • Undergraduate major in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field
  • Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university or approval of the University
  • 3.0 GPA or higher, either overall or in last 60 semester credits of study

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • GRE test scores
