Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Leadership Studies degree program is designed for students seeking a Christian education with a concentration providing deeper understanding and applications of team leading and productivity. The Leadership Studies focus builds on previous educations and experiences while also introducing students to the complex organizational needs required to maintain a church, ministry, business or many other for-profit or nonprofit organizations.

A leadership education should bring to light the concept of leadership as a key factor in the betterment and teaching of the Christian religion to those in need, as well as the suitable skills when entering into non-secular careers. Modern organizations seem to be recognizing the need for well trained and educated individuals in the higher positions of leadership for effective and efficient managing. The online MA degree encompasses 42 credit hours, and is comprised of foundational Masters courses, in addition to the core Leadership courses. The Leadership courses cover topics of study such as: The Old and New Testament, Systematic Theology, and Interpretation of the Old and New Testament. The masters program will culminate with the student’s completion of a final capstone course, to demonstrate a full understanding of the master’s program objectives.

The modern leadership program should give graduates the formal academic education to provide a multi-faceted approach to management, organization, and team building, while still providing a Christian education. The prowess to organize a group of people to achieve a common goal was a strategic combination of vision, values, and business savvy. The value future employers place on graduates of a leadership program aims to provide students with the confidence and foundations to successfully lead and manage a goal oriented group of individuals in both religious and nonreligious environments.

    School Overview

Beulah Heights Bible Institute, founded in 1918, first educated local students in the surrounding area of Atlanta, Georgia. By 1946, the institution relocated to Lakeland, Florida, and then in the 1960s, the school developed into a four-year Bible institute setting goals to include a graduate program. In the 1970s, as programs expanded and Beulah Heights gained accreditation, the college changed names to Beulah Heights Bible College. Once graduate studies were set into motion just after the turn of the century, the Board of Trustees approved a name change once more, and the college transitioned to Beulah Heights University.

Students can pursue associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, in addition to a doctorate degree. Beulah Heights University recognizes time constraints and required flexibility for working professionals and non-traditional students by sponsoring the Beulah Heights University Online Program. Regardless of location, students can complete their degrees at BHU.
