Program Overview

The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree program from Beulah Heights University is available to graduate students through an online learning format. Students should be able to receive advanced education while still remaining in current churches and positions. This program will build on already earned bachelor and masters degrees and experiences, while also preparing graduate students for advanced positions as pastors, educators, chaplains and missionaries.

Earning the Doctorate degree in Ministry serves as understanding of church and ministry responsibilities as well as increases the effectiveness of qualified individuals in various settings. The DMin degree focuses on enhancing a student’s professional skills in leadership, as well as further developing their understanding for movement in the church, para-church organizations, and community positions. The degree program’s extensive curriculum encompasses the modern culture of ministry and the realities clergyman face when teaching the Word of God to individuals in different environments.

The program also emphasizes the student’s interaction with groups, to promote openness and humanistic ideas for personal and professional betterment. Beulah Heights prides itself on a varied classroom, giving students the insightful information and interaction from peers from multiple denominations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, locations, and points of view; contributing to the doctorate curriculum. Students may choose to use the DMin degree to foster particular areas of interest such as: leadership, worship studies, women’s studies, preaching, and Pentecostal – charismatic ministry. Students may tailor elective courses to best fit these interests.

    School Overview

Beulah Heights Bible Institute, founded in 1918, first educated local students in the surrounding area of Atlanta, Georgia. By 1946, the institution relocated to Lakeland, Florida, and then in the 1960s, the school developed into a four-year Bible institute setting goals to include a graduate program. In the 1970s, as programs expanded and Beulah Heights gained accreditation, the college changed names to Beulah Heights Bible College. Once graduate studies were set into motion just after the turn of the century, the Board of Trustees approved a name change once more, and the college transitioned to Beulah Heights University.

Students can pursue associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, in addition to a doctorate degree. Beulah Heights University recognizes time constraints and required flexibility for working professionals and non-traditional students by sponsoring the Beulah Heights University Online Program. Regardless of location, students can complete their degrees at BHU.
