Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Teaching program is designed for individuals who hold bachelor’s degrees in fields other than education but want to become educators.  Students can choose from two paths:  Elementary Education or Secondary Education.  Courses in Elementary Education include Teaching in the 21st Century, Reading Methods, I, II & III, and Methods of Teaching  – Elementary Grades.  Courses in Secondary Education include Teaching in the 21st Century, Reading & Writing Across the Curriculum, and Classroom Environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Hold a current teaching license
  • A GPA of 2.75 for all college work
