Program Details

The online Master of Education degree in the Literacy area is designed for individuals who hold a current teaching license and wish to further their education and careers in education. In the Literacy concentration, individuals take additional courses that increase their knowledge and skills in literacy and teaching literature.

Concentration coursework covers a variety of topics, including folklore, children’s and adolescent literature, and the writing process. Participants will also learn how to help student populations with special literacy needs, such as English language learners and those with reading and writing difficulties. Classes are offered in an accelerated seven-week format. Six start dates per year and 100% online coursework make for a truly flexible degree that fits around your schedule.
