Program Details

The online Master of Science in Instructional Design & Technology program prepares students to integrate emerging technologies into curriculum to create the best learning environments for students at all levels, bringing instructional designers and technologists together with instructors to understand the needs of learners and design effective teaching materials.  The curriculum teaches students to evaluate emerging technologies for practical applications within their organizations and to implement best practices to strengthen learning outcomes for diverse learners in a variety of settings.  Graduates understand the differences in the ways individual learn and are able to design, develop, and implement technology-rich programs into a variety of learning and educational environments appropriate to how students learn.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or equivalent
  • Have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or better from the most recent 60 credits of coursework earned toward the bachelor’s degree or have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better in previous graduate level coursework earned toward the graduate degree
  • May require letters of recommendation and essays in certain circumstances
