    School Overview

In 1946, Bay State College limited instruction to enhancing skill sets for students entering the airline industry. Then in 1961, Bay State relocated to its current campus in Back Bay, Boston. By 1975, the college expanded programs to offer Associate’s degrees, and gained accreditation in 1989. Bay State introduced Bachelor’s degree programs in 2004. Currently, the private, not-for-profit Bay State College houses the main downtown Boston campus, along with a satellite campus in Middleborough, Massachusetts, and a third online division.

Students can complete online degrees through the distance learning campus at Bay State College. Online courses feature asynchronous instructor-guided sessions, complete with assignments and class activities. In addition, classes operate on the same schedule as on-campus counterparts, with eight-week long classes conducted in six terms per academic year. Students participating in on-campus day or evening programs may also enroll in online classes to accommodate busy lifestyles. Online students also have access to resources, including the Bay State College Library and its extensive online database.
