Online Business Management Degree - Marketing
Bay State College offers the Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Marketing for students who are interested in careers in marketing, advertising, media, and other fields that involve communicating with businesses and customers in a manner that maximizes their perceived value of a company. Students will learn about the theories and practices behind strategy, sales, advertising, branding, and creative design of products and for companies. Students will learn about how the internet has changed internet marketing, and how online advertisements, online commercials, and social media networks are utilized in order to attract customers and create a brand image.
The program consists of classroom courses which emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education which will be applicable on the job. Those classes include computer and information literacy, psychology, college algebra, management, introduction to business, first year experience, English, microeconomics, public speaking, writing for business, financial accounting, macroeconomics, business law, literature, organizational behavior, statistics, finance, business ethics, management information systems, new product development, sales principles and leadership, internet marketing, operational management, strategic management, international marketing, marketing research, and marketing strategy.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the Master of Science degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual development as a functional affective professional in their field. These qualifications include but are not limited to the ability to demonstrate an extensive and practical knowledge-base of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to business and be able to apply these to the problems and opportunities that are encountered in marketing and management environments, to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, and to develop a range of professional strategies in advertisement and marketing to aid firms that promote their effectiveness in a business environment.
