Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology combines medicine and science.  Medical lab technicians perform a wide range of laboratory tests including microscopic examination of blood, identification of bacteria, and other lab testing that can lead to the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, AIDS, and cancer.  

Courses include:

  • Urinalysis and Body Fluids
  • Hematology & Coagulation
  • Clinical Chemistry
  • Immunohematology
  • Pathogenic Microbiology

Requirements

Students must complete two clinical practicums. These may be done in a lab on campus or in a supporting cooperative laboratory/clinic in the student's living area.

  • Official high school transcript or GED test scores
  • Official college transcripts (if applicable)
