Program Details

Learn key methodology in translating Scripture with a Master of Arts in Biblical Translation. This online degree was created in association with Wycliffe Associates, a leading nonprofit organization focused on efforts to translate the Bible into various languages across the globe.

Students in this program will learn MAST methodology – Mobile Assistance Supporting Translation. With this process, native language speakers can assist with both written and oral translations, allowing churches to quickly bring the word of God to new communities and individuals. Students will not only learn this methodology for their own use, but will be trained in how to teach the methodology to others.

Coursework covers topics including:

  • Oral, sign language, and special needs translation
  • History of biblical translation and the reformation
  • Translation tools and technology
