Baptist Missionary Association - Theological Seminary offers students the opportunity to earn a Master of Divinity degree through an innovative hybrid learning format. Graduate students can satisfy the required course credits through both on campus and online programs, allowing busy professionals to fulfill personal goals and career obligations.
The Master of Divinity program is 90 credit hours long and is comprised of a wide range of topics of study in areas such as:
• The New and Old Testament
• Greek and Hebrew Grammar
• Greek and Hebrew Exegesis
• Systematic Theology
• Baptist Heritage
• Pastoral Ministry
• Principles of Disciple-Making
• Theology of Worship
• Church Administration
• Christian Counseling
• Christian Teaching
In addition, students must complete at least 30 semester hours of classroom work while in residence at BMA Seminary.
Graduates will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of ministerial leadership in local church or congregational settings. Successful students will apply the learned fundamentals from the Masters program when communicating the Bible and theological truths of Christian ministry to others. Graduates can continue on to leadership positions as Associate Pastors, Ministers, Missionaries, Chaplain or an educator.

In 1950, the Baptist Missionary Association of America took the first steps to form a national seminary and ground was broken in 1956. By 1957, the first students enrolled in the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary. The seminary has continually expanded, adding degree programs, extending the campus, and preparing students for Christian outreach.
The distance learning campus awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Programs include master's, bachelor's and associate's degrees, as well as diplomas and certificates. Students enrolling in the graduate degree programs complete independent study and online coursework in conjunction with residence requirements. Undergraduate online classes are delivered via downloadable Adobe.pdfs and students complete assignments from home.
