Ball State University originated as a teacher’s college in Muncie, Indiana, in the early twentieth century. by the 1960s, the college began to expand increasing enrollment and degree programs. By 1965, Indiana’s general assembly awarded the college university status. Today, Ball State awards Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees.
