Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Planning & Design of Healthcare Environments is a liberal arts degree and multidisciplinary program designed to introduce students to research in facility design.  This program provides you with the expertise, knowledge, and tools you will need to effectively design, manage, and evaluate such spaces.  Students gain knowledge in interior design that allows them to design healthcare facilities that have positive impacts on the lives of patients, families, and healthcare workers by providing the needed amenities and comforts. 

Courses also cover:

  • All sections of the EDAC exam
  • Health Science and the Behavioral Sciences
  • Ethical and Cultural Issues
  • Evidence-Based Practice

Requirements

  • Must have a regionally-accredited bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, medicine, nursing, or allied health fields 
  • Cumulative baccalaureate GPA of at least 2.75 (4.0 scale) or a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in the latter half of your baccalaureate
