Program Details

The online Master of Science in Physical Education program provides students with the knowledge and skills to instruct physical education, administrate athletic programs, and coach at the K-12, junior college, and four-year university levels.  The curriculum molds students into change agents, helping them master the professional skills and knowledge needed to integrate teaching, coaching, and administrative techniques and strategies.  Graduates are prepared for positions as leaders within the school and the district, with opportunities to develop and implement important physical education programs tailored to modern students.


  • Twelve semester units of undergraduate or graduate coursework in education, or a baccalaureate degree or concentration in physical education
  • For each year of verified, full-time teaching or coaching experience, three units of prerequisites may be waived
