Azusa Pacific University offers prospective students the Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology degree. This program intends to cover the fundamentals of psychology and related disciplines in order to prepare students for future success in their chosen career paths. Azusa is a faith-based institution, so the material covered during the program's duration is presented and viewed through the framework of a Christian worldview.
This program is a part of APU's online delivery, allowing students to take courses at distance and in a way that fits the demands of working professionals. While enrolled, degree candidates will work with experienced faculty in order to develop and hone experiential, applicable, and practical approaches to psychology. Students will learn to look at ethical behavior and decision-making within the discipline and evaluate thereof. Upon graduation, these individuals should demonstrate a basic understanding of methods, theories, and concepts in the field.
Once enrolled, students are able to choose from the following areas of emphasis in order to focus the degree to their individual goals and strengths. The options of emphasis are Applied Pastoral Counseling, Business Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Criminal Behavior, Cultural Psychology, General Psychology, Educational Psychology, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management and Human Services.
