Auburn University offers a complete online M.S. in Agronomy degree program designed for today’s working professionals seeking careers in agribusiness-related fields. Agronomy is the application of plant and soil science to crop production and includes the study of plant breeding, genetics, biotechnology, molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, weed control and crop management.

The Master of Science Agronomy is a professional degree program designed for individuals working in industry, government, or education. The degree ensures students have an advanced knowledge of agronomic systems and superior problem-solving skills. The program emphasizes practical, professional, and technical skills involved in crop management, soil and water management, and integrated pest management. At least one-half of all credit hours toward the minimum degree requirement must be earned in 7000- and 8000-level courses, which are courses for graduate students only. The remainder may be in 6000-level courses.
