Program Details

Athens State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Educational Studies. This online degree in teaching prepares students for careers in educational settings that are outside of the traditional classroom. 

Coursework provides the foundational knowledge and fundamental pedagogical skills that will prepare students for work in alternative educational environments and in businesses and other organizations such as non-profits, community and recreational, and human resource programs. Graduates are able to use knowledge of subject matter, teaching, learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation; are innovative professionals in a global and digital society; address the diverse needs of all learners; and demonstrate effective communication skills.
