Program Details

Earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s and Gender Studies through Athabasca University online.  Enrolled students will take on a myriad of research-heavy projects, honing critical and creative thinking techniques.  Develop skills of analysis, argumentation, and more through studies including but not limited to:

  • Indigenous studies
  • Feminist research
  • Women and work in Canada
  • Violence against women

Students will take on theories, concepts, and histories of feminism and gender.  Studies will also include the roles of prejudice, inequality, oppression, and discrimination as they pertain the social constructs of gender from a global perspective.  Graduates with this degree may find career paths in social services, crisis intervention, rehabilitation, teaching, advocating, and more.
