Program Overview

Arizona State University Online offers a Master of Healthcare Innovation for students and professionals in healthcare and medicine who want to improve upon existing methods to transform healthcare services. Students will learn to organize and innovate through leadership, entrepreneurship, application technology, systems design programs, and innovation design solutions to come up with answers facing healthcare. Students will also learn about the systems and architecture of healthcare services as well as the infrastructure of the industry.

The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education, that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include healthcare services design, healthcare services innovation, healthcare services decision making, accounting, financing, communications, entrepreneurship, technology in healthcare, and health care trends and innovation.

Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles learned in the program into their eventual development as a functional affective professional. These qualifications include the ability to accurately evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare policy in a dynamic healthcare environment, to design, conduct, and analyze studies of economic evaluation in healthcare, to apply critical-thinking skills to the analysis of controversial issues and conflicting perspectives associated with healthcare ethics and law, and to engage in scientific inquiry that advances the knowledge base of research and practice in health services.
