Master of Education-Educational Administration & Supervision, Principal Leadership
Arizona State University
Arizona State University Online offers a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Principle Leadership for Educators who want to become the administrators and leaders of schools and other institutions in the role of principle or head administrator. Principles and administrator responsibilities include providing moral and guiding leadership for those under their supervision in order to create positive and healthy environments for education. Leaders work to set the rules and boundaries for what is acceptable behavior in the classroom and in the school.
The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include foundations of leadership in educational organizations, guiding elementary organizations, guiding secondary organizations, promoting education through leadership, and teacher leadership in professional learning communities.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual development as functional affective professional in their field. These qualifications include the ability to recognize the individual differences that distinguish one student from another, to create multiple paths to the subjects they teach through their knowledge of how the subject is created, organized, linked to other disciplines, and applied to real-world settings, and to manage and monitor student learning to create, enrich, maintain, and alter instructional settings to capture and sustain the interest of their students and to make the most effective use of time.
