Master of Business Administration / Master of Science Industrial Engineering
Arizona State University Online offers a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering for students interested in developing the technical expertise in engineering, along with the knowledge of business enterprises and management. Students will study management, human resources, accounting, finance, and other matters relating to the administration of an organization in conjunction with the skills they will develop as engineers in the program.
The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education that will be applicable on the job. Classes include: statistical learning for data mining, operations research in healthcare, engineering administration, strategic technological planning, introduction to systems engineering, production systems, distributed information systems, and more.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate the student has been able to apply the principles learned in the program into their eventual development as a functional affective professional in their field. These qualifications include the ability to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment, and to demonstrate the capability and expertise to create new and improve upon existing technological solutions in engineering.

A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, another engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics or science is generally required (bachelor’s degree in a business discipline to be considered on a case-by-case basis). A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2 is required.
