Master of Business Administration / Master of Science Engineering Electrical Engineering
Arizona State University Online offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering as a dual program for students who are interested in developing a technical engineering education as well as taking part in a management curriculum in order to become leaders and administrators in the field of engineering. Students will learn to become professionals in the field of expertise as well as develop enhanced business acumen by studying accounting, finance, management, and other fields necessary for the implementation of a business.
The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include digital systems and circuits, analog integrated circuits, quantum mechanics for engineers, digital signal processing, energy systems and power electronics, properties of electronic materials, random signal analysis, accounting, management for engineers, finance, human resources management in engineering, and leadership for engineering.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual field. These qualifications include the ability to have an extensive and practical knowledge-base of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to business and be able to apply these to the problems and opportunities that are encountered in the 21st-century business environment, to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment, and to demonstrate the capability and expertise to create new and improve upon existing technological solutions in engineering.

At least one year of professional work experience; two year preferred. Undergraduate degrees from ABET-accredited electrical engineering programs require a minimum 3.0 GPA for the last two years of study. Non-ABET electrical engineering degrees require a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the last two years of study or first class with distinction and a GRE quantitative score above the 90th percentile.
