Master of Arts in Educational Media

Program Details

The online MA in Educational Media prepares graduates to make a larger impact in the lives of learners through improved deployment of technology and learning opportunities in the classroom. Graduates may assume leadership roles in both K-12 and higher education, as well as business, health care and nonprofit organizations. Students may customize their education by selecting one of three tracks:

  • Instructional Technology Specialist/K-12
  • Online Learning and Professional Development
  • New Media Literacies and Global Perspectives

Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Application fee 
  • Official (sealed) transcript from each college or university attended (other than Appalachian)
  • Resume 
  • Three references 
  • GRE or MAT scores no older than five years

Restrictions

Appalachian cannot confirm whether this professional licensure program will meet the requirements for professional licensure outside North Carolina; therefore, prior to enrollment, if you intend to practice in another state, you must determine if this program meets requirements for licensure in your state by contacting your appropriate licensing agencies.
