Anne Arundel Community College

Program Details

The Certificate in Network Security is an online information security degree program from Anne Arundel Community College.  This certificate provides the knowledge and skills needed to configure LAN and WAN networks.  Courses teach students to effectively use Internet and Web technologies and to design a network from scratch or maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot an existing network.  You will gain the skills needed to configure a router, manage Cisco IOS software, control access to routers, and to configure routing protocols.  By the time you graduate you will be able to identify risks to an organization’s data and to provide structured ways of addressing the safeguarding of these critical electronic assets.  This program provides partial foundation for Network+ (CompTIA), Security+ (CompTIA) and the CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) industry certification exams.
