This degree offered through Anne Arundel Community College provides comprehensive skills necessary for a successful and satisfying business career or the first two years of coursework for students planning to transfer to a Bachelor’s Degree program at a four-year college or university majoring in business. The program exposes students to all aspects of today’s rapidly changing and technologically challenging business environment. It also prepares students for careers in the global economy. The program offers courses considered essential for any business student as well as a broad range of electives. Students are expected, with an adviser’s assistance, to select a four-course option in an area of specialization that will permit them to enter a variety of business or management occupations. A range of occupations following the program may includes human resource manager, public relations manager, sales/marketing/advertising trainees, small-business owner/manager, or a supervisor.

AACC welcomes all ages, with students aged 2 to 99. Most of the county's public high school students, about 70 percent, who enroll in Maryland higher education institutions go through AACC. Older adults attend AACC as well. Flexible scheduling and daytime, evening, weekend, and online clases allow students to work and continue college at the same time. AACC's transfer agreements with four-year schools makes it easy for students to continue their education. There are also certificates or industry-recognized certifications offered for those who wish to enter the workforce.
