Program Details

Anna Maria College offers a Master of Business Administration degree for students and professionals in business who want to develop their professional acumen and business expertise by studying specialized and highly advanced topics, as well as topics which promote their knowledge of accepted business practices. The course will provide students a strong foundation in core business principles as well as developing the students’ knowledge of innovative uses of data, entrepreneurial thinking, risk management, and problem solving.

The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include business simulations, managerial economics, financial and managerial accounting, organizational behavior, corporate finance, marketing management, introduction to strategic management, applications in business, information technology for business management, human resources management, strategies for change, overview of business intelligence, and business performance management.

Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual development as a professional in their field.

These qualifications include the ability to have an extensive and practical knowledge-base of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to business; demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business; to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment; and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior explaining the broader role that business has in society and their own responsibilities as a member of the business community and citizens in society.
