Bachelor of Liberal Studies
The Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree is a program of study offered by Anderson University. Through this program, a student may acquire skills and knowledge in a variety of disciplines. Students will work with academic advisors to design a course of study that is appropriate for their personal interests, career goals, and educational goals. This program has two options for completing its curriculum. If a prospective student has already earned an associate’s degree, then they can fulfill the requirements of this program as bachelor’s completion. Up to 64 credit hours of courses may be transferred from an already earned associate’s degree. If a prospective student does not have an associate’s degree, then they can complete this program in the traditional manner. Some of the fields graduates may enter upon completion of this program include social service, government, business, management, public relations, private, non-profit sectors.
This program requires students to complete 120 credit hours of courses in order to graduate with the Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree. Courses are each offered over a period of eight weeks. This program is based in the liberal arts; therefore, students must take 36 credit hours of general education courses. These courses include subjects such as communications, literature, and statistics. Anderson University is a Christian institution and requires students to take Christian Studies courses in addition to traditional course requirements.
