Master Of Divinity In Ministerial Leadership
Amridge University offers a Master of Divinity in Ministerial Leadership for students who are interested in professional-level degrees for careers in the ministry. Students will extensively study biblical text and will be prepared in study of theology and various aspects of practical ministry. Students will develop and conduct their ministry and the highest level of professional competence and communicate in a manner that is intellectually articulate as part of the program.
Graduates will be committed to evangelism and effective in evangelism. Students will be responsible for developing their professional behavior and conduct themselves and relate to others in a way that is spiritually mature and morally sensitive.
The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and other real-world examples in education that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include spiritual leadership, critical introduction to the new testament, critical introduction to the old testament, research and evaluation, homiletics, leadership visualization and values, theological hermeneutics, organizational communication, personal evangelism, theories of motivational leadership, systematic theology, introduction to pastoral counseling, Christian evidences, the book of acts, the life and teachings of Christ, and leadership foundations.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to have earned their degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles they learned in the program into their development as a functional and affective professional in their field. These qualifications include the ability to demonstrate extensive principles from the text of the bible and practical ways to do Christian ministry, to demonstrate the ability to do evangelism, to be prepared to enter or continue a career in full time ministry at the highest level, to communicate in an effective manner, and to become spiritually mature and morally sensitive to people in need.
