Program Details

The online Doctor of Ministry program from Amridge University is designed for qualified persons who are currently engaged in ministry. The curriculum develops effective Christian ministers by combining theological reflection with continued spiritual growth and leading to greater competence in ministerial skills. The program includes a strong emphasis in biblical studies, supported by studies in fields that include biblical languages, church history, systematic theology, homiletics and communication, religious education, professional ministerial studies, and missiology. The student’s own work setting is a primary learning resource with coursework that includes in-service projects that directly benefit the candidate’s ministry and will enhance skills in ministerial leadership which address worship services, family/societal concerns, and church leadership. The program integrates religion and contemporary life, professional work and personal life, and Scripture and theology into the practice of ministry.
