Program Overview

The undergraduate certificate in Counterintelligence focuses on the fundamentals of how intelligence agencies in the U.S. use counterintelligence and covert action to protect U.S. national security and global interests from adversaries. You will study how counterintelligence is collected, and how modernization and technology affect the use of counterintelligence. Students within our school appreciate the different influences that political, economic, and social cultures have in shaping world events. The programs within our school combine insights from sociology, political economy, psychology, cultural studies, and national and international security policy and issues. From focused area studies to courses that address broader transnational and international issues, you’ll be thoroughly engaged with fellow students and faculty. The issues impacting professionals are fluid and dynamic. In the past, training was sufficient. Today, training is not enough.
