AIU’s TEAC accredited Master of Education degree with a specialization in Elementary Education is among the few M.Ed. programs to integrate adaptive learning throughout the entire curriculum. With a Master of Education in Elementary Education, teachers study up-to-date methods of instruction and assessment to gain a deeper understanding of how to develop classroom strategies that are better targeted to today’s elementary- and middle-school students. This one-year M.Ed. program is designed to help students get the in-depth, specialized knowledge they want—compressing their studies into a shorter timeframe, but still providing the knowledge and credentials they're looking for.

    Requirements

    A bachelor’s degree must have been earned at one of the following: An institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education OR An internationally-recognized foreign institution of higher education. Your undergraduate transcript must show a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

    Founded as the American College in 1970, AIU provides associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in a campus environment and online. AIU’s campuses are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and Houston, Texas. The Online or main campus is located in northwest suburban Chicago, Illinois.
