Master of Education / Elementary Education

Program Details

Designed for licensed teachers, AIU’s advanced degree in Elementary Education can help educators enhance the classroom experience, as well as prepare for grade-level leadership roles. With a Master of Education in Elementary Education, teachers can learn up-to-date methods of instruction and assessment, and gain a deeper understanding of how to develop classroom strategies that are better targeted to today’s elementary-age students.

Requirements

  • Your bachelor’s degree must have been earned at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or an internationally-recognized foreign institution of higher education
  • Your undergraduate transcript must show a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
