Master of Education / Curriculum & Instruction for Educators

Program Details

AIU’s Master of Education Degree program provides a solid foundation for effective educational practice and advancement for all levels of educational practitioners including K-12, higher education and corporate learning. Students could develop a solid foundation in learning theory, instructional design and instructional technology, as well as application of educational research methods.

In the Curriculum & Instruction for Educators specialization, students can focus on the curriculum and related instructional processes and tools, including the study of curriculum theory, curriculum design and planning, instructional material design and evaluation, curriculum evaluation, and applications to specific subject matter, programs or educational levels.

Requirements

  • Your bachelor’s degree must have been earned at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or an internationally-recognized foreign institution of higher education
  • Your undergraduate transcript must show a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
